Wedding Planner
A simple wedding timeline built around your actual date.
Start here & planning basics
Quick start
- Pick your wedding date.
- Clear red tasks first, then yellow.
- Open a task (▸) to check items off and add notes.
Common timelines
12+ months: Budget + guest count + venue first. Book photographer early.
~6 months: Lock venue/catering/photo fast, then invitations + attire + timeline.
~3 months: Focus on venue, food, photo, and legal paperwork.
How this planner works
Colors: Red = overdue. Yellow = due soon. Blue = coming up. Gray = later.
Due by: Tasks appear on the date you should aim to finish them. Earlier is always okay.
Profiles: Checkboxes add extra tasks for common cases. They don’t remove the core timeline.
Save / Restore: Save a backup file and restore it later. Reset clears this device.
Short timeline: If your wedding is soon, many early tasks will show as red — that’s expected. Use it as a priority list.
Wedding basics (FAQ)
What should we do first?
Start with budget, a rough guest count, and your venue. Those three decisions control most costs and your available dates.
What are the “big things” to book early?
Venue, photographer/videographer, and catering (if not included). If you want a specific date/season, book earlier.
If our wedding is only 3 months away, is this still usable?
Yes. Many early tasks will show as red. That’s not “failure” — it’s a priority filter. Focus on booking venue, catering, and a photographer first.
When should we get the marriage license?
Many locations have a validity window. Check local requirements: IDs, fees, appointments, and waiting periods.
What’s a realistic RSVP deadline?
Typically 3–6 weeks before the wedding, so you can finalize headcount and seating. For destination travel, consider earlier.
How do vendor payments usually work?
Many vendors take a deposit upfront and the remaining balance closer to the event. Save the payment schedule in Notes.
Do we need a coordinator?
Not required, but helpful if you have many vendors, a large guest list, or a complex venue. A “day-of coordinator” is often enough.
What should be in a simple day-of timeline?
Hair/makeup start, getting-ready photos, travel time, ceremony start, cocktail hour, reception milestones, and vendor load-out. Share with vendors.
What should we write in Notes?
Vendor name, contact info, quote, deposit paid, due date, contract link, and key decisions. Keep it short and searchable.
